The Anna University Student Entrepreneurship Club (AUSEC), formerly known as Capitalize, conducted its inauguration ceremony on the 8th of October, 2021, at Henry Maudslay Hall in the Mechanical Department. 

AUSEC is a wing of the entrepreneur development cell of The Centre For Entrepreneurship Development (CED). This completely student-run entrepreneurship club of Anna University has been launched with the motto of promoting, inculcating, and encouraging entrepreneurship within the student fraternity. The club also aims to streamline the process to get access to CED resources for the club members and organize summer internship programs in CED with qualified mentors who can train students, among other things.

The inaugural event saw the attendance of Prof. L Suganthi, Dean of CEG, and Prof. R Saravanan, Director of Centre For Entrepreneurship Development (CED). The Vice President of AUSEC, Mr. Joshua Prasad, commenced proceedings with an opening speech that emphasized how the club serves as a platform for students who have an idea and want to transform it into something big. 

Once the event was underway, the founders of InstaGood Technology Solutions, Triz AI Private Limited and Agnikul Cosmos began to address the audience as part of the Research To StartUp session (R2S), an initiative started by CED, Anna University. Vijayaragavan and his wife Krishna, the founders of InstaGood Technology Solutions, gave an inspiring presentation on their journey so far, their company’s products, and their plans for the future. This speech was then followed by Triz AI Private Limited’s young set of founders’ motivating the students with their rise to success and spoke about their SmartHome system products. To wrap the session up, a member of Agnikul Cosmos gave an encouraging speech on how to transform an idea into a business, in accordance with how his company succeeded in producing rockets and igniters.

The session was followed by a welcome address by the Director of CED, and subsequently, the inaugural address by the Dean of CEG. The swearing-in ceremony of the executive board of AUSEC took place soon after the inaugural address. Ms. Dipti Ravi, the President of AUSEC, then elaborated on the goals of AUSEC for the year 2021-22 once the ceremony came to an end. 

With this, AUSEC is all set for inculcating entrepreneurship skills in budding entrepreneurs!
