Like a long-lost friend
It slips unbeknownst
When you least expect it
Arrives when you seek life
Arrives in gentle tiptoes
Sometimes remains silent too
Or hushes in whispers
And departs when it's supposed to, they say
Yet I don't think so
How can you untangle the roots which grew together?
Or the souls made of the same stardust
It lingers, around
It sometimes leaves its beautiful scarf in your living room
Well, I am leaving the back door open
Knock at the door then and there
for a peaceful afternoon tea
We will have our afternoon chats
Loom over everything and anything
Like the times, when we bet the odds
With a heart of gratitude
My dear old friend, for now, Take Care
