The blanket you wrap around yourself

Shielding you from the monsters under your bed.

I wish to be

The soup you drink

Warming you up

On a stormy rainy evening.

The ice cream you slurp

Making you feel blissful,

On a hot sunny day.

I wish to be

The song you take refuge in,

When reality overwhelms you.

The joke that cracked you up

Making put behind all your worries.

I wish to be

The person you can't wait

To talk about your day

The person you confide in,

Comfortably and freely,

About anything and everything,

Making you feel heard

And understood.
